Big Glen is large and round so it’s a terrific lake for water skiing. There is always a sandy shore in the lea where the lake is calm. Because of its large size with 7.6 square miles of surface water, it’s also great for sailing, kayaking, or your morning exercise in a rowing scull. Exercise is good for improving your appetite. Fortunately, there are exceptionally fine restaurants in Burdickville on Glen’s eastern shore: La Becasse, and Trattoria Funistrada.
